" GURGAON: The health department, struggling to contain dengue cases in the city, is planning to send a note to Paras hospital for not reporting the first dengue death in Gurgaon in time. The health department is now planning to write to the deputy commissioner to initiate action against the hospital. The victim, Lata Yadav (45), is a Manesar resident.
Paras, according to sources, tried to conceal the matter and did not report it to the health department. The death occurred on Sunday but the district health officials came to know about it only on Monday. The hospital was subsequently asked to send the details and case history of the patient.
The hospital should have informed us about the death in the first place. However, even after a reminder by the health department, it had not responded, said deputy civil surgeon MP Sharma. However, the hospital is believed to have sent details in the evening after office hours."
