" MANILA : The Department of Health (DOH) is closely monitoring several barangays in 290 cities and municipalities nationwide where there are clustering of dengue cases.
Clustering of cases means there are three or more dengue patients in a barangay in four consecutive weeks. The DOH said nine barangays in eight cities and towns are now considered hotspots after more than three cases per week were monitored.
These barangays are Marawoy in Lipa City and Balagtasin I in San Jose, both in Batangas; San Pedro in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; Andagao in Kalibo, Aklan; Cogon in Tagbilaran City, Bohol; Cabatacan in Pudtol, Apayao; Balangkas in Valenzuela City and Barangay 176 and Camarin in Caloocan City."
