" New Delhi, Sep 7 : With 68 new cases, the total count number of dengue patients in the national capital rose to 1438, even as nearly half of MCD mosquito breeding checkers continued their strike today demanding regularisation of jobs. As per reports of the MCD health department another 68 persons have tested positive for dengue, taking the total count in the city to 1438.
Officials admitted that due to the strike of mosquito breeding checkers there has been a temporary manpower crunch. They said the process of appointing new DBCs would take at least four to five days."
