Macao Reports Collective Flu Outbreak at Local Schools

A report via CRI English :

" Macao's Health Bureau said on Monday that it detected collective flu outbreak at three local schools and one local crche.

A total of 20 students developed flu symptoms such as cough and fever, while seven children at the creche were infected, according to the Bureau.

The young patients have all been treated at a local hospital and they had no need to be hospitalized.

The Health Bureau said that it has asked the schools and crche in question to exercise strict sterilization and other flu prevention measures.

Local health center will continue to provide A/H1N1 vaccines to local citizens, and the Health Bureau has also purchased 100,000 seasonal flu vaccines, with which those who are most vulnerable to flu infection will be inoculated for free."
