" The spokesperson of Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital (PYNEH) made the following announcement today (March 11):
Five patients (aged 38 to 64) and one staff member of a male psychiatric rehabilitation ward of PYNEH had presented with fever and upper respiratory tract infection symptoms since March 4. Appropriate viral tests were arranged for the patients and their test results were positive for Influenza A (H1). The patients concerned are being treated under isolation in stable condition. The staff member concerned is currently on leave.
Admission to the ward concerned has been suspended and restricted visiting has been imposed. Infection control measures have already been stepped up according to established guidelines. All other patients in the ward concerned are under close surveillance."
