Australia : Queensland Health declares outbreak of dengue fever in Cairns suburbs

Via Courier Mail :

" QUEENSLAND Health has declared a dengue fever outbreak in Cairns, following confirmation of the mosquito-borne disease in two suburbs.

One resident in Mooroobool, and another in Manunda have been diagnosed with the potentially deadly disease and test results on three other suspected cases are pending.

Queensland Health medical officer Steven Donohue said it was too early to say whether the cases were linked to two outbreaks in Innisfail, where 47 Type-2 cases and eight Type-4 cases have been diagnosed this year."
