" A school child in Northern Ireland has been treated for tuberculosis.
Around 50 fellow pupils at St Michael's Grammar School in Lurgan, Co Armagh, are to be offered screening, the Public Health Agency (PHA) said. They were believed to have been in close contact with the patient, a spokesman added.
Tuberculosis (TB) is a serious but curable infection which normally affects the lungs and is spread through the air when someone coughs or sneezes.
PHA consultant Dr Michael Devine said: "I would like to reassure parents and those who attend the school that children with TB are rarely infectious to others and the risk to pupils and staff at the school is low."

Northern Ireland : Two young boys die from swine flu

" Two young children with swine flu have died in Northern Ireland.
The death of a 10-month-old baby boy was announced tonight, only hours after the authorities said a two-year-old boy with the virus had died.
The baby had underlying health problems.
It is not known if the two-year-old, who was from the Republic, was also suffering from another condition as his family have asked for those details to remain private.
The death takes to 19 the confirmed number of people with the H1N1 virus that have died in Northern Ireland this flu season."

Northern Ireland : 14th swine flu death in NI

" Another person has died of swine flu in Northern Ireland, bringing the total number of deaths since November 2010 to 14.
The Public Health Agency confirmed the death on Sunday.
Last week, the health watchdog revealed that 13 people, including a seven-year-old, had died after contracting the deadly H1N1 strain; ten of whom had underlying health problems.
Thirty-two people now remain in intensive care.
Despite growing concern that the country is reaching pandemic levels, the PHA says that the current pattern of swine flu in Northern Ireland is no different to that in the rest of the UK."

More Northern Ireland swine flu cases expected

" The Public Health Agency has said it expects more "sporadic cases" of swine flu in Northern Ireland in the coming weeks.
The PHA's Dr Brian Smyth was speaking after two cases of the virus were confirmed - the first in NI since the start of the year.
One case is a pupil at Ceara School in Lurgan - a special school for children with severe learning disability.
The other case, which is not linked, is a man from Northern Ireland.
Dr Smyth said he didn't expect the virus to circulate to the same extent as last year as many people would now have immunity to it."
