" LUDHIANA: With rise in H1N1 cases, one death suspected to be a result of swine flu has been confirmed in the city. While blood sample had been sent for testing, one of the patients died of the disease.

Sources said two patients suspected to be suffering from swine flu -- a Hoshiarpur resident and a Kot Mangla woman -- were admitted to Dayanand Medical College and Hospital. Both died later and samples of both the patients were sent for testing.

One of the reports later turned out to be positive. Giving information, a health official said advisory guidelines had already been sent to all districts for them to be prepared for any kind of emergency.
