" BAGUIO CITY : The city health services offices here revealed Saturday that 444 dengue fever cases have been recorded in 88 out of the 128 barangays in this city in the first 225 days of 2010.
Based on data obtained from the local health department, the recorded dengue fever cases this year is approximately 158 percent higher than the 180 dengue fever cases registered during the same period last year.
Because of the alarming increase in the number of dengue fever cases all over the city, health officials have tasked barangay health workers to intensify their massive grassroots level information and education campaign to properly inform the people on the measures to prevent the occurrence of the dreaded disease which could lead to loss of lives once the illness has not been attended."
