" CAPIZ : The Department of Health-Center for Health Development (DOH-CHD) 6 has confirmed the declaration of the province of Capiz to be under the state of calamity due to the number of cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever recorded in the province.
DOH-CHD 6 Regional Coordinator for dengue, Dr. Fabian Mabasa said the province of Capiz has now been declared under a state of calamity after some 830 cases were recorded and seven deaths reported by sentinel sites in the period covering January 1 to July 17, 2010.
In Capiz, the DOH-CHD 6 has six sentinel sites responsible for monitoring and reporting dengue cases in the province."
