Via Xinhua :

" LOME, Aug. 10 : Six African countries are meeting in Togo to discuss cooperation in common fight against bird flu, which have killed hundreds of people in Asia, Africa and Europe and led to heavy economic losses in the world poorest continent.

The five-day forum attracts representatives from Cote d'Ivoire, Comoros, Djibouti, Guinea, Madagascar and Togo, organizers told Xinhua here on Tuesday.

The counties will discuss their rapid reaction to a comeback after the H5N1 strain hit the continent, especially in West Africa, in recent years. The discussions will center on the implementation of a SPINAP-AH1 Program to integrate all national action plans into a common strategy."
