An article from Times of India :
" JAIPUR: A sudden rise in the number of chikungunya and viral fever in the past few days has cast a shadow on the celebration plan of many in the city. In fact, more than 600 patients report each day at SMS hospital with long queues seen outside major clinics.
Even though hundreds of patients complain of symptoms similar to chikungunya at hospitals, official records continue to show low prevalence of the disease. According to officials, severe body pain and high fever can also be due to viral infection.
"Nearly 40 cases of chikungunya have so far been confirmed in the state. Patients with similar symptoms can get clinically diagnosed for the disease. However, tests have been unable to detect infection in most of these patients," said Dr B R Meena, additional director, health."
