Zimbabwe : Cholera outbreak in Zim kills 16

Via Eye Witness News :

" Sixteen people have died and hundreds have fallen ill after a cholera outbreak in eastern Zimbabwe.

The centre of the outbreak is Marange, the place where the infamous Chiadzwa diamond fields are located.

Around 753 cases are suspected in the area. Most of those affected are illegal miners and migrants.

A cholera outbreak in the country two years ago killed more than 4,000 people and there are fears that this outbreak could also spread.

Meanwhile, the World Health Organisation has reported several cases of suspected A H1N1 influenza in Harare’s Kuwadzana suburb."
