Malaysia : Dengue detected in 109 localities last week

" Dengue fever was detected in 109 localities in 30 districts nationwide in the week ending Feb 26, with nine of the localities identified as hotspots, Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Mohd Ismail Merican said.

He said six of the hotspots were in Selangor, two here and one in Johor.The hotspots in Selangor were Kampung Baru Sungai Terentang; Taman Tun Teja Apartments and Taman Muhibbah, both in Rawang, and Selayang Baru K4 and Dahlia Apartments Bandar Country Homes, both in the Selayang Municipality, and Taman Ukay Perdana (Zone 2) in the Ampang Jaya Municipality, he said.

The hotspots here were Taman Miharja and RKAT Ampat Tin, and Kampung Pasir in Johor, he added."
