India : H1N1 claims two more, toll 310

Via Times of India, a report from Pune :

" PUNE: Swine flu death toll in the city rose up 310 since August 2009 on Friday with two more persons succumbing to dreaded influenza virus. Meanwhile, according to state health officials, around 29 H1N1 positive persons are on ventilator support at various hospitals in the city.

State health officials said, Ashok Kashinath Deshmane (55) of Padharpur in Solapur district, died at the Sassoon general hospital on August 6. He had developed symptoms like fever, cough and chest pain since August 2. Deshmane was admitted to the hospital on August 4 and was put on ventilator on the same day.

Meenal Viren Kudale (27), a resident of Dattanagar, Thergaon, died at the Yashwantrao Chavan memorial hospital in Pimpri on August 6. Kudale had developed symptoms like cough, cold and fever from July 25. She complained of breathlessness on July 27, following which she was admitted to the isolation ward of the YCMH. She died at 6.45 pm on Friday."
