India : Woman killed by contaminated water say residents, TB say docs

Via Times of India :

" MUMBAI: The death of a 30-year-old woman on Wednesday, ostensibly of tuberculosis, had residents of Shrimati Indira Nagar Rahawasi Co-operative Housing Society in Bandra (E) agitated.

They alleged that Tara Maitre died from drinking the contaminated water the building has been receiving for over two months.

While Maitre's post-mortem report from Sion hospital confirms TB as the cause of death, her relatives and neighbours are unwilling to accept that reason. "Her death isn't due to TB. She had loose motions and vomiting for a couple of days which couldn't be controlled. We complained of contaminated water for two months, but it's now become a regular feature," said Gopal Bhimrao, resident of the CHS."
