" Over 4- thousand 3- hundred cases of typhoid have been recorded since the disease broke out in the country.
Mufulira was the highest hit with over 3 thousand - 2 hundred cases.
Ministry of Health acting spokesperson, Chrispin Moyo says nine deaths been recorded so far.
Dr Moyo says Lusaka recorded 845 cases of typhoid, Kalabo had 253 cases and Nakonde recorded the lowest with 55 cases.
Dr Moyo says 27 patients are still under going treatment in Mufulira and Lusaka respectively.
He says typhoid is still active and has therefore called on members of the public to exercise personal hygiene and ensure that they drink treated water.
And 56 cholera cases have so far been recorded since of out break of the disease.
The affected areas being Lusaka, Mpulungu and Chongwe."
