" Even as the Kerala Government has taken various precautionary measures to check the out break of viral fever during monsoon, one more death was reported following H1N1 symptoms, taking the death toll to 15.
According to State H1N1 Control Room release here today, Anil Kumar (36), a native of Perumbavoor in Ernakulam District died at Government Hospital at Ernakulam. He was on treatment for ARDS and Pneumonia and was confirmed as H1N1 positive and also Leptospirosis.
With 30 more confirmed H1N1 positive cases, the total number of patients had gone up to 184, it said and added out of the total 47 patients, throat swabs tested found 30 positive with the maximum number of cases of 16 from Thiruvananthapuram, followed by Kollam six, Kannur three, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Malappuram one each."
