The latest H1N1 update from Malaysia's Ministry of Health, excerpt with my translation :
" For the week 24/2010 (13 - June 19, 2010), seven (7) new ILI cluster cases was reported from four (4) states as shown in Appendix 1. In the previous week, a total of three (3) ILI clusters have been reported.
In the same week, a total of 586 new patients with symptoms of Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) have been admitted to hospitals for treatment as compared to 771 patients in the previous week, a decline of 24.0%. The remaining cases that are still being treated across the country on the last day of week 24/2010 (June 19, 2010) are 404 cases in 55 hospitals including 11 private hospitals.
Of these, only 49 patients or 12.1% were cases of Influenza A (H1N1) which was confirmed by laboratory tests. For the record, there are 10 cases of H1N1 being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and eight (8) of them are individuals who have risk factors.
The numbers of confirmed cases of influenza A (H1N1) in the same week are 81 cases compared to a total of 119 cases in the previous week, a decline of 31.9%, bringing the cumulative number of positive cases of influenza A (H1N1) to date to 15,152.
No new fatalities were reported, bringing the total remaining at 88 cases."
