Via New Kerala, fatalities rising :
" Five people including two women succumbed to deadly H1N1 virus at the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here during the last 24 hours, taking the death toll of swine flu to six.
According to the GMCH sources, the dead were identified as Savita Thakur (45), resident of Jalna District, Sanjay Shewale (30) from Davalpuri, Chandrakant Thorat (38) from Kannad, Savita Khiradkar (20), resident of Vaijapur and Ravindra Phulzade (30) hailing from Chikali of Buldhana District.
However, Savita Thakur's throat swab report tested positive for swine flu, while, the throat swab reports of the other four victims are still awaited.
The condition of all of them was deteriorating since theY were admitted to hospital and they had stopped responding to medicines , sources said. At present, 11 people suspected to be suffering from swine flu have been admitted to hospital."
