Via The Med Guru :

" With the national capital recording 36 fresh cases of dengue Saturday, the highest figure in a single day since the outbreak, the city seems trapped in a situation fast spiraling out of control.

The Union Health Ministry admits the situation is grim and the threat from the disease massive.

The entire National Capital Region (NCR) has witnessed a spurt in infections over the last few days.

Until now, 384 positive cases, one confirmed and three suspected deaths from the vector borne disease have been reported in the capital.

However, a random check of 12 hospitals and nursing homes in Delhi showed 1,131 dengue cases at these hospitals alone.

According to sources nearly 300 suspected cases of dengue are admitted at various hospitals including AIIMS, Safdarjung, Lok Nayak, Guru Tegh Bahadur, Apollo, Max, Fortis, Moolchand Medcity and Ganga Ram."
