" With Delhi reporting 35 new cases of dengue on Sunday, the total number of victims of the vector-borne diseases has now reached 419. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has blamed intermittent rains for the rise. "This is the season for vector-borne diseases but we are taking all the necessary action," a senior MCD official said.
On Saturday, Delhi reported 36 new cases, the highest in a day for this season.
The Delhi government has launched a 12-hour special helpline — (011)22307145 — which will remain operational from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
It has issued several advisories in various newspapers urging people not to panic along with stating symptoms and preventive measures for the disease."
