" ALLAHABAD: Despite making serious efforts to check the cases of malaria, more and more patients with malarial symptoms are visiting government hospitals in the district.
Reports say that over 500 patients are suffering from malaria and have been undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the district. The health department officials, however, claim that precautionary measures have been initiated in affected areas with medical teams conducting visits in the same regard.
Health officials have asked the residents of the city to ensure that there is no stagnant water in and around the houses or in the basin, utensils, cooler etc. Water and filth are the major breeding sources of mosquitoes, opined health officials."
