" Bangladesh is planning to set up 24 quarantine stations close to the borders with India and Myanmar aiming to control transmission of trans-boundary animal diseases like foot and mouth disease, mad cow and avian influenza or bird flu.
The government has taken a three-year project on livestock diseases prevention and control under the department of livestock services (DLS), with an estimated cost of 508.7mn taka, said an official of the ministry of fisheries in Dhaka yesterday."
