Via CBC News :
" There are now 11 confirmed cases of the antibiotic-resistant bacteria MRSA at Charlottetown's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Dr. Rosemary Henderson, the medical director for the hospital, said that number is up from six confirmed cases last week.
She said all the cases are in nursing unit eight.
"Unfortunately, our last round of testing did show that a few more patients have been identified to be carrying the bacteria," Henderson said Wednesday.
She said none of the carriers has actually become sick from the bacteria.
The hospital has placed all the patients in nursing unit eight on contact precautions, meaning anyone going in and out of the affected rooms will need to put on gowns and gloves.
No new patients are being admitted to the unit."
