" PUNE: As many as eight persons succumbed to H1N1 influenza in Pune between August 15 to 17 at various hospitals. With this, the swine flu death toll in the city has gone up to 347, since August 2009.
One death was reported on August 15, five deaths were reported on August 16, while two deaths were reported on August 17, according to the state health officials. Elaborating on the deaths, state health officials said, "Alka Bhau Shinde (30), a resident of Karjat taluka in Ahemadnagar district, died at the Sassoon hospital on August 15.
Shinde was suffereing from fever, cold and breathlessness for eight days before being admitted to hospital."
