" The Centre for Health Protection (CHP) of the Department of Health today (October 11) repeated its call for vigilance against influenza as report about a critical case of confirmed Influenza A affecting an 18-month-old boy was received.
The boy living in North District developed fever, cough and shortness of breath since October 3. On October 7, he attended Accident and Emergency Department of North District Hospital and was transferred to paediatric intensive care unit of Prince of Wales Hospital for further management. He required mechanical ventilation and his condition was once critical."
