" Damaturu : The number of deaths from the fresh outbreak of cholera in Yobe State has risen to 50 with over 288 cases recorded. Our correspondent reports that at the weekend, the death toll stood at 25.
Officials of the Yobe State Ministries of Water Resources, Environment and other relevant agencies have visited the affected area to assess the situation.
Chairman of Bade Local Government Area, Mohammed Ago, yesterday said Governor Ibrahim Gaidam has ordered the immediate supply of relevant drugs and ambulances for the evacuation of affected persons from their homes to hospitals."
