Malaysia : 40-year-old man dies after 6 days of fever

Via New Straits Times:

" A 40-year-old man died of H1N1 at Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital in Ipoh on April 27 after suffering high fever and persistent cough for six days.

He died after being diagnosed with severe pneumonia due to influenza A (H1N1).

Director-general of health Tan Sri Dr Ismail Merican said the man had no risk factors but yet succumbed to the disease.

"Although many people in the high-risk group die due to complications from H1N1, there are also healthy people who succumbed.

It's important that everyone take the influenza A (H1N1) symptoms seriously."

The death toll now stands at 82 since May last year.

As of 5.30pm on Tuesday, 39 new cases of H1N1 were reported nationwide, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 13,832 since May last year.

There are 492 people with suspected H1N1 and 46 with H1N1 admitted to public and private hospitals nationwide."
