Malaysia : Current Situation of Influenza A (H1N1) as of May 1, 2010

From MOH, H1N1 update as of May 1st, 2010:

" Until 8:00 am on May 1, 2010, the Ministry received a total of eight (8) report of ILI cluster cases in the following three (3) states as stated in Appendix 1.

Meanwhile, until at 5:30 pm on 30 April 2010, a total of 36 confirmed cases of influenza A (H1N1) was reported for a cumulative number of 13,709 cases to date. The remaining numbers of ILI cases currently being treated in the wards in the country are 590 cases. Of these, 82 cases (13.9%) were confirmed positive influenza A (H1N1). The number of patients being treated in the ICU is seven (7) case in which five (5) of them has risk factors. The ministry received no reports of fatalities yesterday, bringing the cumulative number of H1N1 fatalities to this day remaining at 81.

As of 30 April 2010, the total H1N1 vaccine recipients were 175,747.
76,613 people were front line staff of the MOH (range 64.56%); meanwhile 49,407 persons are not members of the front line staff of the MOH and 49,727 people from target groups in the public."
