Malaysia : Current Situation of Influenza A (H1N1) as of May 3, 2010

The latest from the Ministry of Health, the report with my translation:

" Until 8:00 am on May 3, 2010, the Ministry received only one (1) report of ILI cluster case as listed below:
  1. Ukay Perdana, Ampang, Selangor, 7 exposed, 4 in ILI case, 4 samples H1N1 positive, 3 was admitted in hospital meanwhile 1 was given outpatient treatment, all of whom received antiviral treatment.

Meanwhile, until 5:30 pm on May 2, 2010, a total of 18 verified cases of influenza A (H1N1) was reported for a cumulative of 13,762 confirmed cases to date. The remaining number of ILI cases that are currently being treated in the wards in the country are 601.

Of these, 81 cases (13.5%) were confirmed positive influenza A (H1N1). The number of patients being treated in the ICU is seven (7) cases where five (5) of them has risk factors.

The fatality in the country due to H1N1 remains at 81."
