Malaysia's Ministry of Health latest H1N1 update, please note the increase in ILI cases, H1N1 positive cases and the number of patients being treated in the ICU. I have not seen an update with regards to the fatalities in the country due to H1N1 for the past almost 1 week. I assume there has been NO other fatalities recorded which is definitely a good note and the fatality remains at 82 to date (last updated on 7th May 2010).
The report with my translation :
" Until 8:00 am on May 12, 2010, the Ministry has received six (6) reports of ILI cases from the following six (6) states as listed in Appendix 1.
Meanwhile, until at 5:30 pm on May 11, 2010, a total of 64 confirmed cases of Influenza A (H1N1) were reported for a cumulative number of 14,202 cases to date.
The remaining ILI cases that are being treated in the wards in the country are 713 cases. Of these, 131 cases (18.4%) were confirmed positive influenza A (H1N1). The number of patients in the ICU are 13 cases with nine (9) of them having risk factors."
