Hong Kong : HFMD and EV71 situation update

Press Release from HK's Health Dept. :

" A spokesman for the Department of Health said reports about two enterovirus 71 infections and a total of 15 Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease (HFMD) institutional outbreaks were received during the 24 hours ending at 12 noon today (June 4).

This brings to 308 the cumulative total for HFMD institutional outbreaks in 2010.

The institutional outbreaks took place in Wong Tai Sin, Kowloon City, Sai Kung, Sha Tin, North District, Kwai Tsing, Tsuen Wan and Yuen Long.

Five schools remain closed due to HFMD outbreaks.
