Malaysia: Current Situation of Influenza A (H1N1) - June 7, 2010

From the Health Ministry, here in Malaysia, their latest H1N1 update, with my translation :

" As in most countries, influenza A (H1N1) is still active. Therefore, the public must always be vigilant and take precautionary measures and prevention of H1N1 that has been proven effective.

In the last 24 hours, there was no new report of ILI cluster cases reported. There are a total of 49 active ILI clusters in the entire country.A total of 13 new cases confirmed positive influenza A (H1N1) by the laboratory, bringing the total cumulative cases of influenza A (H1N1) to 14,965 cases to date.

The remaining ILI cases being treated in hospital wards across the country are 508 cases of which 51 cases or 10% confirmed positive influenza A (H1N1).
The number of H1N1 cases being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is nine (9) and all cases are individuals who have risk factors. No new fatalities were reported, bringing the total remaining at 88."
