" KATHMANDU, Aug. 1 : Diarrhea that spread in mid- western Nepal a few days ago has not yet come under control, The Rising Nepal reported on Sunday.
According to the daily, the patients of the epidemic frequented local hospitals also on Friday and Saturday in the district.
The hospitals informed that more than 400 diarrhea patients were undergoing treatment in the local hospitals.
Local Bheri Zonal Hospital, Teaching Hospital and United Hospital of the city, some 365 km west of Kathmandu, have been filled with the diarrhea patients, many of whom are on the hospitals' floor because of the lack of beds and space.
According to the hospitals, five patients died of diarrhea in recent days."
