" Doctors say cases of diarrhoea and viral infection could also surface

With the monsoon receding, parts of the city received sporadic showers yesterday morning, sending humidity levels soaring. And with more showers expected in the coming days, doctors have warned about the resurgence of dengue and other diseases.

"We usually see an upswing around this time of the year and since we had a bad monsoon with widespread cases of malaria and dengue, patients need to be very careful," said Indian Medical Association president Dr B M Inamdar, adding that cases of diarrhoea, viral infection and skin ailments could also surface."
