" JOHOR BARU: Dengue cases in Johor have increased by more than 60% between January and September this year with a total of 10 deaths recorded so far.
Johor Health Department vector unit principal assistant director Dr Shaharom Nor Azian Che Mat Din said that the state had registered a total of 3,157 cases so far compared to 1,936 cases during the same period last year.
“Ten deaths due to dengue were recorded since January, which is a drastic increase compared to the three deaths reported last year,” she told reporters during a press conference held during a dengue enforcement operation at the Taman Cempaka flats yesterday."
