Indonesia : Dengue Threat for Jakarta as More Rain On the Way

Via The Jakarta Globe :

" Jakarta : As heavy rain caused havoc on Jakarta’s roads on Friday, city officials warned that more was to come, and asked residents to take adequate precautions against dengue fever.

Hamid, a forecaster at the Meteorological, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG), said to expect a wet weekend, with medium rainfall predicted in Tangerang, Bogor and Depok as well as West, North and Central Jakarta.

The Jakarta Police’s Traffic Management Center said Friday’s rainfall caused surface flooding 20 centimeters to 30 centimeters deep on Jalan Gunung Sahari in Central Jakarta, reducing traffic to a crawl."
