" THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Eight new cases of influenza A (H1N1) were confirmed in the State on Wednesday, taking the total number of cases reported since May 1 to 114. There have been 11 deaths so far. Of the new cases, five were reported from Thiruvananthapuram, two from Kozhikode and one from Malappuram.
The cause of death of Shibu, 34, of Pothencode, who died on Monday while under treatment for acute respiratory distress syndrome and viral pneumonia, has now been confirmed as H1N1 following a lab analysis."
