Just one more before I got, an updated from New Zealand's MOH, another fatality has been recorded :
" A second death of a 51 year old male linked to pandemic influenza (swine flu) has been reported to the Ministry of Health.
The tragic death is an unfortunate reminder of the impact the disease can have, as the numbers of people seeing their GP with influenza symptoms slowly rise. The death occurred in the North Island in the last two weeks, the man had an underlying health condition which was exacerbated by swine flu.
Further details will be available and released at a later date.Key information about steps the public can take remain:
- get vaccinated against the seasonal influenza which includes protection against swine flu, there is still time but act quickly
- phone for medical advice quickly (GP or Healthline) if you are sick to be assessed for antiviral medicine treatment
- wash and dry hands frequently, cover coughs and sneezes and stay home if you are sick.
More details about these key messages is available in Update 194. "
