" Munger, Oct. 8 : Six people have died and 1,056 others taken ill due to an outbreak of dengue in Bihar's Munger district, a health official said here today.
“Six people have died and 1056 others taken ill and have reported positive with symptoms of fever in past month, Sadar hospital civil surgeon Mukesh Kumar said. The blood samples of about 2,600 people were tested for symptoms of dengue fever, and 1,056 tested positive, he said.
The district health official admitted that the toll could be higher as many other patients might have died and the cause of death may not have been recorded. Unconfirmed reports put the toll due at 32."
