" AN early rise in influenza cases across Glen Eira has prompted a warning from experts to get vaccinated - fast.
There were 20 flu cases in Glen Eira from January to April this year, compared with just five in the same period in 2010 and one in 2009.
State records show there have been 158 cases of flu recorded across the southern metropolitan region, up from 23 last year.
Dr Rhonda Stuart, from Monash Medical Centre’s infectious disease unit, said the spike in cases was earlier than usual."
