" The Bhutanese veterinary authorities have reported five new outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza at various backyard poultry farm adjacent to the national highway in Chhukha district.
The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no. 4 on Friday, 2 March.
A total of 1405 birds were found susceptible to the outbreak, out of which 60 cases were identified. 36 deaths were recorded, while a total of 1361 birds were destroyed.
The source of the outbreaks has still not been identified."
