Another fatality in India due to H1N1, a report from Times of India, excerpt :
" MUMBAI: Swine flu claimed a 51-year-old man on Friday, taking the death toll to eight since June. Fourteen more have tested positive for the H1N1 virus, taking the number of cases in Mumbai to 137 since the onset of monsoon.
The deceased, a resident of Santa Cruz, had a history of hypertension. On June 25, he was admitted to a private hospital in his neighbourhood with complaints of fever and cold. According to head of BMC's epidemiology cell Dr Daksha Shah, he was administered Tamiflu immediately on admission. This, however, did not work and he succumbed to the ailment after a week of treatment at the hospital. "We have learnt that the patient was given Tamiflu in time but there was a delay of at least two days in hospitalising him,'' said Shah."
