The latest H1N1 update from Malaysia's Ministry of Health :
" For the week 26/2010 (27 June to 3 July 2010), five (5) new ILI cluster cases was reported from four (5) states as shown in Appendix 1. This number is the same as the amount reported in the previous week.
In the same week, a total of 608 new patients with symptoms of Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) have been admitted to hospitals for treatment as compared to 610 patients in the previous week, a slight decrease compared to last week. The remaining cases that are still being treated across the country on the last day of 26/2010 (July 3, 2010) are 390 cases in 69 hospitals including 14 private hospitals.
Of these, only 35 patients or 9.0% were cases of Influenza A (H1N1) which was confirmed by laboratory tests. For the record, there are 10 cases of H1N1 being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and four (6) of them are individuals who have risk factors.
The numbers of confirmed cases of influenza A (H1N1) in the same week are 42 cases compared to a total of 60 cases in the previous week, a decline of 30%, bringing the cumulative number of positive cases of influenza A (H1N1) to 15,254 to date.
No new fatalities were reported, bringing the total remaining at 89 cases."
