Trinidad & Tobago : 2 more suspected Dengue cases

Via News Day :

" TWO new suspected dengue cases have been reported at the San Fernando General Hospital after two recent deaths which are being blamed by the much feared mosquito-borne disease. Patients being treated for suspected dengue at the hospital are isolated from the general population and are kept under mosquito nets.

Yesterday, two patients identified themselves to Newsday as pensioner Baby Hansraj, 70, of Fyzabad and Dindial Goppe, 33, of Princes Town. Both claimed being told by doctors that they are suffering with dengue fever. However, no doctor was willing to confirm this to Newsday.

Worried relatives gathered around Hansraj’s bedside comforting her. The elderly woman could not speak long due to intense pain and her weakened condition. “My entire body is wracked with pain,” the elderly woman whispered to Newsday. A relative who asked not to be identified said Hansraj’s condition began to deteriorate on Monday."
