H1N1 Kills 12 in Germany, 1 in Korea

" The death toll from the H1N1 flu virus continues to rise as 12 more have died from the infection in Germany and one more here in Korea.Germany's Robert Koch Institute, responsible for disease control and prevention, said on Wednesday that 12 people have died since last October, but the institute is concerned because five of those deaths occurred in the past five days.

Also, 39 new H1N1 flu patients were reported in the first week of this year, which is the largest number reported since last January.Meanwhile in Korea, a 55-year-old man died on Thursday in Gwangju, South Jeolla Province while receiving treatment for H1N1."
