New cases of H1N1 recorded in Algeria

" Algiers : Swine flu, or influenza virus A/ H1N1 invaded Algeria, where tens of cases are reported. The vaccine against swine influenza is necessary for children, the elderly and chronically ill.

According to Professor Faouzi Derar, head of the reference center for influenza A/H1N1 at the Pasteur Institute, dozens of cases have been recorded in Algeria during the past week. Medical tests for influenza virus A/H1N1 have been positive. The virus, brought from abroad, spreads quickly.

Professor Derar warns against deaths whenever the vaccine is not made and if the spread of this deadly virus is not prevented on time."
