An article from Sky News :
" A woman pulled alive from a building in Christchurch 24 hours after the city was rocked by a deadly earthquake has given rescuers hope of finding more survivors.
Applause erupted among workers as Ann Bodkin was lifted out of the rubble of the Pyne Gould Corporation building, where five others are still being searched for, and was reunited with her husband.
The rescue boosted morale as hope begins to fade of finding many more people alive and several sites are abandoned by workers over health and safety fears following the 6.3 magnitude tremor.
Bob Parker, the mayor of Christchurch, who saw the rescue, said: "She was complaining of being a bit sore, because she's been lying on one side for a long time.
"But in the midst of what is by and large one of the bleakest day in the story of our city, the sun came out at the same moment as they removed Ann from that building.
"You might have seen the guys down there laugh because somebody made the comment that they got Ann out of that building, so God turned on the lights."
