Via The Star, a good practice which must be followed by all schools and observed by the parents. Please read the whole informative article:
" Pupils of Tadika Juara Cerdik now have to go through a temperature check every morning before they are allowed to enter the school compound.
This is part of the school’s Influenza A(H1N1) precautionary measures, a move which many schools have adopted since a sudden increase in influenza-like illness cases recently.
School principal Cynthia Ngui said every child’s temperature would be scanned and those found with any flu-like symptoms would be sent home immediately.
“Teachers who are even slightly unwell are also told to stay home,” she said at the kindergarten here yesterday.
Asked if wearing masks was encouraged, Ngui said, “for three- to six-year-olds, masks are not very effective because if they fall off the children would pick them up and wear them again”.
Ngui said all the tables and chairs in the school were cleaned with sanitisers daily, and pupils were also asked to bring hand sanitisers.
“If they don’t bring their own, we will provide the hand sanitisers for them,” she ad-ded."
